Continue your learning after class has finished
I created the Practice Makes Perfect
Monthly Workshop Mentor Group
for this reason:
I know a handful of my students want to keep practicing and learning together with me and other students without having to wait for my next class at GPTC to start.
You learned A LOT in class
But honestly, you might feel a little lost now that class is over.
If you want to continue the small group learning experience and keep practicing with your camera while getting guidance and mentorship from me
JOIN THE Practice Makes Perfect Monthly Workshop Mentor Group.
It's the perfect complement to your class room experience.
Here's what you get:
FAQs Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ #1 How much will it be?
FAQ #2 When is membership enrollment open?
Membership enrollment is only open on the last day of class when I have a class in session at GPTC and it's only open for 7 days. I teach classes about two times a year, so that is how often you'll have the opportunity to join.
*Membership will be limited to 10 people.
FAQ #4 What will we do in case of bad weather?
Yes you can, for a one-time non-member price of $100 (and I've limited that to 2 spots per workshop).
I am opening and welcoming you into my home studio during the months where the weather is too bad to photograph outdoors. I expect that to be about six months of the year. I'll also plan for back up dates in case of inclement weather.
These are monthly all day small group hands-on workshops, not a casual photowalk. I organized the casual photowalks because I knew that I wanted to give my students an opportunity to get together after class and go places that we couldn't possibly go during class. I had no forethought about where to take the idea. The reality is that I realized after-the-fact that giving up a whole Saturday for free as a photography business owner isn't something I could continue to do every month.
There will still be free photowalks however they will only occur when I have a class is in session at GPTC, they will only be in town, and they will only last 1 hr.
Committing to a membership is not for everyone, however I am not asking for a commitment from you without being fully committed myself. I am interested in working with students who want to be part of a very intimate mentor group.
Your membership payments hold your spot in the Monthly Workshop Mentor Group. There are only 10 spots. Whether you attend the workshop on a particular month or not, if you'd like to hold your spot in the Practice Makes Perfect Monthly Workshop Mentor Group you'll need to continue to pay for your membership.
It's just like Netflix or my daughter's dance tuition. If I choose not to watch anything on Netflix for a month I still have to pay for my spot and the ability to use their service. My oldest daughter spends four months out of the year visiting her dad in Louisiana. I still have to pay her dance tuition for those months or she loses her spot at the school.
Membership is limited to 10 members.
Only past students of Annabel Valencia are eligible.
MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN NOW THROUGH JUNE 23, 2018
Yes, there are cheap and even free education sources all over the place. None of them include spending an entire six hours in a small group face-to-face with the instructor for hands-on learning at the ridiculously low membership price that I've set. The price will go up to $50 after May 23rd, and may go up again, so now is the time to join.
I realize that this isn't for every one. But if you think it might be for you, I would love to have you as part of the group!
